  1. Containly team

Containly 2.4.0 is out. The highlights:

    New

    • Spanish: Containly now speaks English, German and Spanish, mails included. Switch the language with the new language menu with flags at the top right or in your profile. People invited in Spanish get Containly in Spanish right away.
    • Folder browser for backup targets: for "Local folder" and "Host path" you no longer have to type the path. Click "Browse" to pick a folder or create a new one right there.
    • Passphrase generator: when you create a backup key, "Generate" makes a strong passphrase, fills both fields and copies it with one click. Keep it in your password manager.
    • Vulnerability scanning can be turned off: Settings › Schedule › "Vulnerability scanning (Trivy)". When it's off, no scans or database downloads run and all CVE displays disappear. Turn it back on and your earlier results return.

    Improved

    • Server messages now appear in your language, for example when testing a backup target. Some used to be German for everyone.
    • Dropdown menus: the selected item is now readable in light and dark mode.
    • Fewer outside requests: the app no longer loads a script from the former payment provider.

    Update

    docker compose pull
    docker compose up -d

Or use the one-click self-update in the app.
